Job summary

Smithfield Foods in Wisconsin seeks a Maintenance Supervisor to lead Maintenance Mechanics and Electricians in predictive and preventative maintenance, ensuring equipment reliability across the plant, facilities, utilities, and powerhouse. You'll drive maintenance planning, KPI tracking, and safe, efficient production operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Engineering or a related field and 2+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience leading and coaching staff or managing a process or project.
• Ability to lead problem solving and troubleshooting efforts for high‑level process issues.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• May be required to work long hours and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead teams of Maintenance Mechanics and Electricians in predictive and preventative maintenance, and machine repairs.
• Plan and schedule maintenance in collaboration with Production; develop TPM, SOPs and safety practices.
• Ensure maintenance tasks comply with USDA regulations and maintain accurate records.
• Handle crisis management and assume responsibilities when key personnel are absent.
• Drive employee development and coaching to improve performance.
