Job summary

Michael Page is seeking an L&D Training Manager in Bolingbrook, IL to build a plant-wide onboarding and training function from the ground up. You will partner with leadership to design role-specific learning paths, qualification standards, and scalable training roadmaps for hourly and salaried staff.

Success in this role means establishing robust LMS and training compliance, developing internal trainers, and linking training outcomes to performance metrics while supporting leadership development

Qualifications

• 5+ years of manufacturing training, workforce development, or L&D experience.
• Experience creating training programs from the ground up.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, GMP, HACCP, and regulatory training requirements.
• Experience with adult learning principles and instructional design.
• Background implementing or optimizing LMS platforms.
• Strong communication and cross-functional relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and implement plant-wide onboarding and training programs.
• Develop role-specific learning paths and qualification standards.
• Create skills matrices and training roadmaps for hourly and salaried employees.
• Partner with subject matter experts to convert operational knowledge into effective training materials.
• Manage LMS and training compliance systems, including reporting and auditing processes.
• Lead and develop training coordinators and internal trainers.
• Establish metrics to evaluate training effectiveness and employee proficiency.
• Support leadership development initiatives across the facility.
