Job summary

Workhorse in Indiana seeks a hands-on Desktop Support Engineer to provide frontline IT support across our automotive manufacturing facility. You will keep plant floor systems, office IT, and production-adjacent technology running with minimal downtime.

The role blends office IT and manufacturing floor work, troubleshooting Windows, Linux, and enterprise apps, managing AD accounts, and supporting onboarding. A proactive problem-solver with good communication will thrive here.

Qualifications

Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in IT, CS, or related field.
3–5 years of desktop/IT support experience.
Strong troubleshooting across hardware, software, and networking.
Experience with Windows, Linux, AD/Entra ID, and ticketing systems.
Basic TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi‑Fi knowledge; customer-focused.
Ability to work independently in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Provide Level 1/2 support for desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and devices.
Troubleshoot Windows, Linux, Microsoft 365, email, VPN, and apps.
Support plant-floor computers, scanners, barcode systems, and printers.
Handle network and connectivity issues (DNS/DHCP/Wi‑Fi).
Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and Operations.
Manage onboarding, hardware provisioning, software installs, and asset inventory.
Maintain endpoint security and patching per company standards.
Document resolutions and escalate complex issues to vendors/IT teams.
Participate in hardware refreshes, upgrades, and plant projects.
Assist HR with onboarding/offboarding IT services for associates.
