Job summary

Truck Country in Indianapolis, Indiana, seeks a Desktop Support Specialist to provide frontline IT support for users and maintain hardware/software systems. You will assist with configuration of laptops, phones, and network devices, and work with senior staff on documentation and testing.

The role requires strong troubleshooting, excellent communication, and a customer-focused mindset, with travel to nearby states as needed. This is an on-site position at our Indianapolis office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, CIS, MIS, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Experience supporting Windows 10/11 and MS Office/Outlook.
• Knowledge of Windows Server/Active Directory a plus.
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Willing to travel occasionally across IA, WI, IL, MN.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance to computer users in person, by telephone, or electronically.
• Provide front-line tier one assistance for hardware and software, including printing, e-mail, corporate software systems, operating systems and general troubleshooting.
• Assist senior IT staff in configuring hardware including laptops/workstations, phones, and other network devices.
• Consult with users, identifying and documenting system requirements/specifications.
• Perform onsite configuration, installation, testing and documentation of network components.
