Job summary

Designworks Talent is seeking an IT Support Technician for an on-site role in Indianapolis, IN. You will join the internal tech team and own complex issues across enterprise technologies, serving as a technical resource to users and other IT staff.

The role goes beyond routine help desk work, troubleshooting Microsoft 365, VDI, connectivity, and engineering software, while helping improve IT processes, documentation, and user experience.

Qualifications

• Professional experience providing technical or desktop support in enterprise settings.
• Experience troubleshooting issues beyond basic help desk procedures.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Working knowledge of Windows environments, endpoint hardware, Microsoft 365, VDI, networking, peripherals.
• Experience supporting specialized business or engineering applications is valued.
• Ability to determine whether an issue originates with an application, endpoint, network, user configuration, or underlying infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support for hardware, software, endpoints, peripherals, printing, workstation configurations, and connectivity issues.
• Troubleshoot Microsoft 365 apps and services (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint).
• Troubleshoot intermediate VDI issues.
• Independently diagnose issues involving engineering applications such as Autodesk, Bentley, Bluebeam, and similar software.
• Troubleshoot application errors, licensing issues, configuration problems, and workstation dependencies.
• Use logs and docs to identify root causes across technologies.
• Own escalated tickets through resolution with documentation and SLAs.
• Communicate technical information clearly to technical and non-technical users.
• Share knowledge and assist with onboarding IT staff.
