Job summary

Workhorse Group is seeking a hands-on Desktop Support Engineer to provide frontline IT support across our manufacturing facility. You will handle Windows and Linux environments, AD/Entra ID, and plant-floor tech while minimizing downtime and supporting a fast-paced production setting.

The role requires 3–5 years of desktop/IT support, strong customer service, and the ability to operate independently in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in IT, CS, or related field.
• 3–5 years of desktop/IT support experience.
• Experience with Windows, Linux, Microsoft 365, AD/Entra ID, and ticketing systems.
• Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently in a hands-on manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 1/2 desk-side IT support for desktops, printers, and devices.
• Troubleshoot Windows, Linux, Microsoft 365, email, VPN, and business apps.
• Support plant-floor computers, terminals, barcode scanners, label printers, and other manufacturing tech.
• Troubleshoot basic wired/wireless network, connectivity, DNS, DHCP, and endpoint issues.
• Work closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and Operations to resolve IT-related issues.
• Manage onboarding/offboarding, hardware provisioning, software installation, and IT asset inventory.
• Monitor and maintain endpoint security, patching, and device compliance.
