Job summary

DSJ Global is seeking a hands-on Human Resources Manager to lead all site-level HR functions for a growing manufacturing operation in Decatur, Illinois. The role partners with plant leadership on safety, productivity, engagement, and retention.

You will balance employee relations, recruiting, compliance, and workforce development on the production floor, building trust across shifts while driving performance and a culture of accountability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in Human Resources with direct management of employees, HR teams, or HR programs.
• Manufacturing/industrial experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of employee relations, labor laws, performance management, recruiting, and compliance.
• Proven ability to influence and partner with leaders at all levels of an organization.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary HR resource for all employees and leaders at the facility.
• Coach managers on performance management, employee development, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
• Conduct workplace investigations and manage employee relations matters.
• Foster a positive, respectful, and accountable workplace culture.
• Partner with leadership to drive employee engagement and retention initiatives.
