Job summary

Clayton Manufacturing seeks a General Manager to lead production, distribution, safety, and quality initiatives across our facilities. You will champion productivity improvements and financial performance, aligning with Clayton's mission of attainable housing and world-class team member experience.

Responsibilities include developing staff leaders, coordinating with customers and functional leaders, and ensuring cost-effective operations while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or related field required.
• Minimum 4 years' experience in production management, with at least two in a manufacturing management position.
• Prior P&L and commercial responsibility is required.
• Expertise defining and optimizing process flow.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all team members at all levels.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal and discretionary skills.
• Solid understanding of construction trades and quality practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide development of staff leaders to guide plants and support organizations.
• Lead the establishment and attainment of plant goals in quality, cost, schedule, compliance, and safety.
• Coordinate business activities through planning with departmental managers to ensure objectives are accomplished.
• Establish and monitor overall performance for production and quality standards.
• Leads by example to create a motivating work environment and cooperation across functions.
