Job summary

Clayton Manufacturing seeks a General Manager to lead the facility supporting production, distribution, safety, and quality, driving productivity through commercial, operations, and financial excellence.

The role requires a strong track record in production management, P&L exposure, and the ability to align departments toward plant goals while maintaining cost-effective performance and a safe work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or related field required; 5 years of P&L experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in production management, with at least two in a manufacturing management position.
• Prior P&L and commercial responsibility is required.
• Expertise defining and optimizing process flow.
• Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively with all team members at all levels within the facility.

Responsibilities

• Develop staff leaders to guide plants and support organizations.
• Collaborate with customers, functional leaders, and internal staff to meet organizational requirements.
• Lead the establishment and attainment of plant goals in quality, cost, schedule, compliance, and safety.
• Establish and maintain the plant(s) vision for success.
• Facilitate leadership team in strategic decision‑making and problem‑solving.
• Provide effective leadership and promote good working relationships across all functions.
