Job summary

Clayton is seeking a General Manager to lead a plant operations portfolio, driving production, distribution, safety and quality while optimizing cost and profitability. The role requires strategic direction, cross-functional leadership and a focus on process improvement across the facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, operations management or related field.
• Five years of P&L experience can replace degree requirements.
• Minimum four years in production management, with two in manufacturing leadership.
• Proven ability to define and optimize process flow.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal and discretionary skills.
• Solid understanding of construction trades and quality practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the facility supporting production, distribution, safety, team member experience, quality and cost.
• Develop staff leaders to guide plants and support organizations.
• Collaborate with customers and internal staff to meet requirements.
• Drive goals in quality, cost, schedule, compliance and safety.
• Coordinate planning with department managers to meet manufacturing objectives.
• Monitor performance for production and quality standards.
