Job summary

Smithfield Foods, Inc. is seeking a General Manager to lead the Omaha plant and drive profitability, safety, and quality across all production operations. You will oversee shift teams, manage budgets and strategic initiatives, and champion continuous improvement with lean methods.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 10+ years in plant management, plus 5+ years leading teams. Occasional travel (10–20%) is expected, with relocation available as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Agriculture, Animal Science, Business or related field.
• 10+ years' experience in plant management, or equivalent combination.
• 5+ years' experience in team management/development.
• Strong leadership in diverse, fast-paced environments.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and flexible hours.
• Willingness to travel 10–20% to meetings and locations.
