Job summary

Smithfield Foods, Inc. is seeking an Operations Manager to lead shift production, drive efficiency, and manage budgets for our plant. You will supervise salaried and hourly teams, optimize yields, and ensure HACCP and SSOP compliance while promoting a safe, productive work environment.

You will guide process improvements, enforce safety standards, and maintain strong employee relations. A Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of relevant experience are required, with travel up to 10% and willingness to

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
5+ years’ relevant experience; plus 2+ years in team management or project leadership.
Experience with time-keeping systems, SAP, and Microsoft Office to streamline processes.

Responsibilities

Oversee all shift production operations and direct production leaders.
Partner on layout design improvements and automation projects.
Implement cost-saving initiatives and monitor labor, material, and indirect costs.
Ensure safety, food safety, quality, and CCPs are upheld.
Maintain procedures for accountability and continuity when personnel are absent.
