Job summary

You will support maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, and champion Lean and Continuous Improvement across the facility. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of project management experience in design and installation of food processing/packaging systems.
• Process control and packaging equipment experience is a plus.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of PLCs, factory automation, and process control systems.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
• Willing to travel around 10% as needed.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and plan for requirements of food processing and packaging projects and cost studies.
• Prepare engineering specifications and design process/pack flows; create drawings.
• Prepare project approvals and monitor costs within projects.
• Lead projects through concept, design, installation, commissioning and qualification.
• Ensure permits, environmental, sanitary design, GMPs, safety and OSHA compliance.
• Specify, obtain bids, select and purchase equipment and services.
• Supervise plant labor, contractors and service personnel.
• Provide mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and support.
• Administer maintenance and operator training for new equipment.
• Stay updated on new technologies and drive improvements.
• Lead Lean and Continuous Improvement in the plant.
