Job summary

Riviana Foods Inc. in Memphis, TN seeks a Packaging Supervisor to lead a defined team on one or more packaging lines, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity. You’ll coordinate with Production, Maintenance, Warehouse, and QC to meet schedules and standards.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years supervising in manufacturing, familiarity with GMP/HACCP, and strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. This role offers a Full-Time schedule on-site with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Supervisory experience in manufacturing or related environment.
• Food manufacturing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Food Safety Initiatives (GFSI) or SQF preferred.
• Exposure to quality procedures and team-based work environments.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Assign and move personnel on production lines to meet requirements.
• Communicate line status with Plant Scheduler, Packaging and Warehouse Supervisors, and Managers.
• Coordinate packaging supply requirements with Warehouse, Supply Operators, and Production teams.
• Maintain daily shift logs and cost center placements in time/attendance systems.
• Oversee rice transfers to ensure packaging schedules are met.
• Notify Maintenance Supervisors of equipment malfunctions and coordinate maintenance.
• Direct and train personnel on-line duties and safety procedures.
• Participate in line adjustments and troubleshooting.
• Maintain GMP, HACCP, and sanitation procedures.
• Document Master Sanitation Schedules, Food Incident Reports, and logs.
• Monitor product quality with QC personnel.
• Conduct safety meetings and enforce safety policies.
• Compile and submit daily packaging reports to Packaging Superintendent.
• Communicate company policies and enforce disciplinary actions.
• Maintain a clean 5S work environment.
