Riviana Foods is seeking a Packaging Supervisor in Memphis, TN to oversee packaging lines and a team of hourly staff. You will ensure safety, quality, and productivity while coordinating with multiple departments to meet schedules.

The role requires strong leadership, practical mechanical skills, and fluency in English. Experience with GMP/HACCP and 5S is valued, and the position involves daily reporting and adherence to company policies.

Formación

• High School Diploma required; College degree preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing; food manufacturing preferred.
• Exposure to quality procedures and team-based environments.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving abilities.
• Read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Provide leadership, direction, and training to team members.
• Basic math skills including ratios, timing and equipment speeds.
• Comfortable using computers, RF scanners, tablets, and HMIs.
• Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
• Able to climb and work at heights over 100 feet.
• Able to lift and handle objects up to 50 pounds.
• Perform varied physical tasks throughout the day.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise a defined group of hourly personnel across packaging departments.
• Coordinate with Plant Scheduler, Packaging and Warehouse Supervisors, and Managers.
• Manage packaging supply requirements with Warehouse and Production teams.
• Maintain shift logs and assign cost center placements.
• Oversee rice transfers to meet packaging schedules.
• Notify Maintenance of equipment malfunctions and coordinate maintenance.
• Direct and train personnel on-line duties and safety procedures.
• Participate in line adjustments and troubleshooting.
