Job summary

Riviana Foods Inc. is seeking a Plant Engineer to analyze, design, and lead processing and packaging projects across our facilities. You will drive Lean and Continuous Improvement, coordinate electrical and mechanical systems, and support maintenance with root-cause analysis and repair.

The role requires a BS in engineering and 5+ years in a lead plant engineering role with strong project management, PLC, AutoCAD, and GMP knowledge. Travel ~10% and cross-functional collaboration are expected.

Qualifications

• BS in engineering or equivalent with leadership experience in plant engineering.
• Experience leading multiple projects in food processing or packaging.
• Strong knowledge of process control, safety and GMP requirements.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, plan and coordinate processing/packaging projects to meet objectives.
• Lead projects from concept through installation and qualification.
• Ensure compliance with permits, environmental, sanitary design and OSHA regulations.
• Provide troubleshooting and technical support across Riviana facilities.
• Manage vendor bids and installation services to schedule.
