Job summary

Riviana Foods Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer to lead engineering activities for processing and packaging projects, from concept through start-up and commissioning.

The role requires coordinating internal teams and contract firms to meet scope, schedule and budget while ensuring compliance with GMP, HACCP and regulatory standards. You will design process flows, prepare drawings and cost estimates, and manage multiple projects with 20-40% travel to support domestic facilities nationwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Engineering or Engineering-based degree.
• Minimum 5 years of project management experience in design and installation of processing/packaging systems.
• Background with packaging equipment is a plus (including scaling, form-fill-seal machines, cartoning, casepacking, conveying, palletizing). Steam and drying experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Apply engineering principles to analyze processing and packaging projects and cost studies.
• Prepare engineering specifications and design process/packing flows; prepare drawings.
• Lead projects through concept, design, installation, commissioning and qualification.
