Job summary

Gold Bond Building Products, LLC seeks a Plant Environmental Health & Safety Manager to lead the EHS vision, develop and train programs, and ensure compliance with federal and state requirements.

The role covers stormwater and air permit compliance, audits, procedure development, and leading the Safety Committee to protect workers and the environment. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental, Health & Safety Management or 3–5 years related experience.
• 3 years EHS experience in a manufacturing environment or 5 years of industrial experience.
• 1–3 years’ experience developing and administering EHS programs & training.
• Working knowledge of OSHA General Industry Standards, EPA Air, Water & Waste Regulations
• MSHA training (24 hours), MSHA Certified Trainer a plus
• Excellent communication and group presentation skills with the capacity to be proactive.
• Ability to manage multiple, competing priorities and ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness to travel domestically up to 10% of the time.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• CSP, ASP, GSP certification; OSHA 10/30 card; FA/CPR/AED training a plus

Responsibilities

• Assist in the identification, development, administration, and enforcement of EHS policies and programs.
• Monitor, revise, and implement updates in EHS regulations and reporting requirements; provide technical EHS support to team members.
• Ensure EHS training is current and delivered to all staff and contractors.
• Manage stormwater, water intake, site waste disposal & Title V air permit compliance including auditing and reporting.
• Ensure compliance to EHS audit standards and address findings with auditors.
• Lead safe and environmentally sound work procedures per guidelines; suggest improvements to reduce hazards.
• Manage the EHS inspection program for facilities and equipment and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Review project plans to ensure environmental, health & safety requirements are met.
• Lead the plant Safety Committee and ensure active participation across departments.
• Provide EHS leadership development, training, and coaching for site associates.
• Manage injury/illness investigations and EHS action logs; ensure corrective actions.
• Lead site sustainability efforts and report program data.
• Serve as member of First Aid/CPR/ERT team.
• Other duties as assigned.
