Job summary

Ardagh Group is seeking a Health, Safety, and Environmental Manager to oversee safety operations at our Dunkirk, IN plant and drive the EHS program focused on preventing injuries and illnesses.

You will lead EHS initiatives, ensure regulatory compliance, train staff, and report incidents. The role requires at least three years of EHS experience in manufacturing, strong communication, and the ability to travel up to 20%.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of environmental health and safety experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to interpret OSHA and EPA regulations and related safety/environmental regulations.
• Excellent communication skills with internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and continuous improvement of environmental health and safety programs.
• Manage programs to protect the health and safety of employees, visitors, and contractors, and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Identify and correct potentially hazardous activities and ensure safety and health protocols are communicated; conduct required EHS training.
• Promote safe and professional work practices in compliance with EHS policies and regulations.
• Report EHS incidents, root cause analysis results, corrective actions, and communications to internal and external stakeholders in the ARMs system.
• Represent the company as the EHS subject matter expert to internal and external stakeholders.
• Prepare and submit EHS reports, assessments, and records to internal stakeholders and external regulatory agencies.
• Stay abreast of the latest EHS trends, policies, regulations, and best practices.
• Comply with environmental and food safety standards as set forth in plant policies and programs within the department’s responsibilities.
