Job summary

Ardagh Group is seeking an Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Specialist for the Bridgeton, NJ plant. You will support and monitor the EHS program with a focus on preventing injuries and illnesses.

You will audit operations, administer health and safety programs, engage workers to identify unsafe practices, and ensure training and EHS communications are up to date. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Persuasive communication skills for training and reporting findings.
• Ability to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Audit operations for adherence to EHS protocols, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Administer programs to protect health and safety of employees, visitors, and contractors and environmental impact.
• Engage with workers to identify unsafe activities and practices and tool use.
• Ensure employees are informed of EHS protocols and training is conducted.
• Promote safe work practices compliant with EHS policies and regulations.
• Document and report audit findings, incidents, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Assist in preparing EHS reports for internal stakeholders and regulators.
• Stay updated on latest EHS trends, policies, regulations, and best practices.
