Job summary

LB Foster is seeking an Operations Specialist to support plant safety, environmental, and ESG initiatives in a manufacturing setting. You will train employees, drive continuous improvement, and report on safety metrics to corporate leadership.

You will coordinate with EHS/CSI/ESG teams, manage training programs, and ensure ISO-standards compliance, including audits and permits. A LEAN mindset and PMP is a plus for advancement.

Qualifications

• A High school diploma is required and a bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent years of experience.
• LEAN and project management experience is required; PMP certification is a plus.
• 3 years of EHS, ESG and CSI experience in manufacturing is expected.
• 6 years of experience in or supporting production in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to government environmental and safety standards and coordinate training.
• Lead safety programs, track training, and manage orientation for all facility employees.
• Develop/update JSA’s, SOPs, and VOP’s as needed.
• Compile safety metrics and report to corporate ESG leadership.
• Manage SOR card process, workers’ comp, and coordination with insurers.
• Oversee audits per ISO-14001 and OHSAS-45001 and ESG policy rollouts.
• Schedule monthly SQCI audits and lead Lean manufacturing initiatives.
