Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing is seeking an Site EHS Specialist to support facility operations by implementing and continually improving Environmental, Health, and Safety programs. You will partner with plant leadership to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and drive a proactive safety culture.

The role focuses on risk identification, corrective actions, training, and regulatory oversight, including OSHA recordkeeping, incident investigations, and ISO/IATF program support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or related field.
• OSHA 30-Hour Certification required; OSHA 511 preferred.
• Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and IATF 16949 requirements.
• Experience conducting audits, inspections, training, and investigations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and applicable regulations.
• Develop, implement, maintain, and improve facility EHS programs, policies, procedures, and standards.
• Conduct routine inspections, risk assessments, hazard analyses, and compliance audits.
• Lead incident investigations, near-miss reviews, root cause analyses, and corrective action development.
• Deliver EHS training programs for employees, supervisors, contractors, and visitors.
• Maintain OSHA 300, 300A, and 301 recordkeeping requirements.
• Support workers’ compensation case management and return-to-work programs.
