Job Title: Plant Controller

One role in Jacksonville, FL
One role in Centralia, IL, Denison, TX, or Irving, TX

Position Overview

We are seeking two experienced Plant Controllers to join the finance team of a large, private equity-backed manufacturing company.

Key Responsibilities

Act as the finance liaison between the plant’s General Manager and corporate GL/accounting teams
Lead all aspects of cost accounting at the plant level, including tracking manufacturing costs, analyzing variances, and ensuring proper standard costing
Provide operational and financial analysis to support strategic decision-making
Support month-end close processes (minimal GL responsibility; focus is more on cost and operations analysis)
Partner with plant leadership to monitor and improve financial performance, identify inefficiencies, and develop cost control strategies
Work cross-functionally with Corporate FP&A and Accounting teams
Collaborate with plant operations to understand and explain cost drivers, variances, and performance metrics
Assist in ERP implementation/integration initiatives, where applicable

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
10+ years of experience in manufacturing accounting, with a strong emphasis on cost accounting and standard costing
D365 experience is a strong plus (especially for the Jacksonville role)
Epicor experience is helpful (relevant for the IL or TX roles)
