Position Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Plant Controller to oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, cost analysis, and internal controls, while partnering with cross-functional teams to support strategic business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead plant accounting activities including general ledger, cost accounting, payroll, A/P, A/R, and fixed assets.
• Develop and maintain production cost models and perform audits for accuracy.
• Conduct and present detailed cost variance, yield, and margin analysis.
• Provide financial guidance to departments on budgeting, inventory, purchasing, and reporting.
• Support and prepare capital expenditure analysis (CARs), including ROI and payback periods.
• Ensure financial alignment with operational goals, internal control compliance, and asset management.
• Oversee cost accounting and data management team.
• Train plant leaders on financial performance and KPIs.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
• Support system conversion and continuous process improvements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA preferred
• Minimum 7 years of financial management experience; plant controller experience preferred.
• Food manufacturing or distribution industry experience is a plus.
• Proven ability to implement policies, lead teams, and drive operational efficiency.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Experience with ERP/system conversions preferred.
