Position Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Plant Controller to oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, cost analysis, and internal controls, while partnering with cross-functional teams to support strategic business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead plant accounting activities including general ledger, cost accounting, payroll, A/P, A/R, and fixed assets.
Develop and maintain production cost models and perform audits for accuracy.
Conduct and present detailed cost variance, yield, and margin analysis.
Provide financial guidance to departments on budgeting, inventory, purchasing, and reporting.
Support and prepare capital expenditure analysis (CARs), including ROI and payback periods.
Ensure financial alignment with operational goals, internal control compliance, and asset management.
Oversee cost accounting and data management team.
Train plant leaders on financial performance and KPIs.
Contribute to the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
Support system conversion and continuous process improvements.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
CPA preferred
Minimum 7 years of financial management experience; plant controller experience preferred.
Food manufacturing or distribution industry experience is a plus.
Proven ability to implement policies, lead teams, and drive operational efficiency.
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
Experience with ERP/system conversions preferred.
