We are seeking a Plant Controller to be a strategic financial partner for our plant operations. Reporting to the CFO, you will be a key leader in our finance team, responsible for overseeing all aspects of general accounting, cost control, and financial analysis. This role is ideal for a hands-on, analytical, and business-minded accounting professional with experience in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Leadership & Reporting: Serve as the primary financial liaison for plant operations, providing timely and accurate financial data, reports, and insights to support strategic decision-making and operational improvements.
Cost Accounting & Management: Manage all aspects of cost accounting, including the development and maintenance of standard costs, analysis of production variances, and inventory valuation. Partner with plant management to identify cost drivers and implement strategies to improve efficiency and profitability.
General Accounting & Month-End Close: Oversee the general accounting functions for the plant. Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation. Ensure all financial activities comply with US GAAP.
Capital Expenditures (CapEx): Track, analyze, and account for all capital expenditures, ensuring accurate project classification, depreciation schedules, and compliance with company policies.
Budgeting & Forecasting: Collaborate with the operations team to prepare and manage the annual plant budget and periodic financial forecasts.
Performance Analysis: Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial dashboards to monitor the plant's operational and financial performance. Analyze trends in production, labor, and overhead to provide actionable insights.
Internal Controls & Audit: Implement and maintain robust internal controls and accounting policies. Support all internal and external audit requests, ensuring documentation is complete and accurate.
Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement in accounting processes and financial reporting. Play a key role in systems implementations or upgrades (e.g., ERP migration).

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with a significant portion in a manufacturing.
Deep knowledge of US GAAP and hands-on experience with cost accounting principles.
Proficient with ERP systems, strong QuickBooks knowledge, and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs).
Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with cross-functional teams, including operations and plant management.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
A proactive, results-oriented, and detail-focused mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
