We are looking to fill a Controller position with a company in Dallas that is a market leader in it's industry. This role is open due to the company experiencing tremendous growth. The position will be responsible for overseeing the financial performance of the company's and ensuring all financials are in good health. This will report to the CFO.

This position pays 150K-165K + Bonus and located in Dallas, TX.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the complete month-end closing process, ensuring accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions. Review and authorize journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements.
  • Manage the general ledger to ensure appropriate classification and documentation of transactions. Conduct regular audits for accuracy and adherence to accounting principles.
  • Supervise accounts payable and receivable operations, ensuring timely processing of invoices, payments, and collections. Develop and implement controls to improve billing and collection efficiency.
  • Provide mentorship, conduct performance evaluations, and create opportunities for professional development to foster team growth.
  • Identify areas for improving financial processes, boosting operational efficiency, and shortening month-end close timelines. Implement best practices and standard operating procedures to support organizational growth.
  • Prepare and deliver accurate and timely financial reports to senior leadership, including variance analyses, forecasts, and budgets. Offer insights and recommendations to guide strategic decision-making.
  • Ensure adherence to financial regulations and company policies. Develop and enforce internal controls to mitigate risks and protect company assets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business operations and enhance financial performance. Work with various departments to ensure alignment and address financial inquiries.
  • Manage the coordination of external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations. Ensure prompt resolution of any audit findings or recommendations.
  • Engage in financial planning and analysis, contributing to long-term financial strategies and goals. Collaborate with senior management to align financial resources with business objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
  • At least 10 years of progressive accounting experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong background in comprehensive accounting practices, month-end closing, and general ledger oversight.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high-growth environment.
  • Excellent leadership and team management capabilities, with a focus on staff motivation and development.
  • Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail, with a proactive problem-solving approach.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
