Base pay range

$130,000.00/yr - $160,000.00/yr

We are seeking an experienced Plant Controller to join our client’s dynamic manufacturing team. This role will serve as a strategic finance partner, responsible for overseeing plant-level accounting, cost analysis, and inventory controls. Ideal candidates will bring deep expertise in SAP, cost accounting, and financial operations within a high-precision manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all plant accounting functions including month-end close, cost of goods sold (COGS), standard costing, and job costing
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering and production teams to support accurate bill of materials (BOM) development and cost optimization initiatives
• Maintain robust inventory valuation processes and controls, reconciling variances and ensuring compliance with corporate policies
• Provide actionable financial reporting and analysis to support plant performance, productivity, and continuous improvement efforts
• Ensure full utilization of SAP to support financial tracking, standard cost maintenance, and data accuracy across product lines
• Partner with corporate FP&A, operations, and supply chain to drive budgeting, forecasting, and capital project evaluations
• Oversee internal controls and compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements
• Manage and mentor accounting staff at the plant level, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required)
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong command of SAP ERP system (required), with hands-on experience in cost modules, inventory, and product costing
• Demonstrated proficiency in standard costing, job costing, BOM analysis, and COGS management
• Experience working directly with engineering and operations teams to drive financial accuracy and efficiency
• Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-finance stakeholders
• Detail-oriented, with a proactive mindset and commitment to continuous improvement
