Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• ASME QRO Provisional Licensing exam within the first year of holding the position.
• Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts.
• Ability to lift/carry 50 lbs.
• Ability to wear a full-face respirator.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance to Crane, Auxiliary, and Back Plant Operators to maintain a safe and efficient operation.
• Effectively monitor Reworld operations systems and have strong working knowledge of boiler, turbine, and auxiliary equipment operations.
• Experienced in reading blueprints, P&ID’s, and schematic specifications.
• Manage critical events and prioritize tasks for completion at times during emergency, providing clear directions in operational, safety and environmental tasks.
• Respond to operational alarms, taking immediate corrective action.
• Demonstrate solid understanding of operational best practices, including the ability to problem solve and make sound decisions that supports Covanta’s safety and operational goals.
