Job summary

Ball Corporation is seeking a senior controls engineering leader to direct a regional team, standardize PLC hardware and software, and drive reliability across multiple plants. You will train site personnel, optimize line control and line simulation software, and coordinate with production to maximize asset utilization.

The role requires extensive electrical/industrial experience, ability to manage contractors, and up to 60% travel across the North/Central America region; strong communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or related field preferred.
• Electrical experience in a Manufacturing environment.
• Ability to manage contractors.
• Worked extensively in an industrial electrical engineering environment.
• Working knowledge of mechanical and electrical support equipment.
• Fluent English language skills.
• Able to accommodate travel throughout NCA up to 60%.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of controls engineers for regional line control and line simulation software.
• Standardize, enhance and improve reliability of facility support equipment.
• Develop, implement and maintain PLC hardware and software standards for new and existing sites.
• Ensure infrastructure is effective across regional facilities.
• Maximize asset utilization across the plant network.
• Provide training to plant personnel for implementation and support of the systems.
• Establish and maintain PLC standards for new and old sites and support new site implementation as required.
• Determine rollout plan of site line control to maximize output across plant network.
