Job summary

Kitron, the US-based facility, seeks a detail-oriented Planner to align customer demand, production capacity, and material availability to keep work moving smoothly and meet delivery targets. You will coordinate across manufacturing, procurement, and logistics, develop and adjust production schedules, and monitor KPIs to improve performance.

Strong organizational and cross-functional collaboration skills are essential, along with ERP/MRP experience and advanced Excel capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain production schedules based on customer forecasts, orders, and internal capacity.
  • Distribute production schedules and work orders to appropriate departments.
  • Adjust schedules as needed due to design changes, material shortages, labor constraints, or other disruptions.
  • Review production documents, staffing plans, and material requirements to set priorities.
  • Issue shop orders for manufacturing and delivery instructions for finished goods.
  • Manage customer forecasts and order entries in line with customer agreements.
  • Issue order acknowledgements and coordinate delivery timelines.
  • Interface regularly with customers, key account managers, procurement, and manufacturing to ensure alignment.
  • Resolve delays, complaints, or scheduling conflicts by collaborating with internal teams and external partners.
  • Arrange for delivery, assembly, or distribution of materials and parts to support production timelines.
  • Monitor material flow and coordinate with vendors and internal teams to avoid shortages or bottlenecks.
  • Set and maintain MRP parameters for assigned parts in accordance with planning policies.
  • Track production progress, material usage, inventory levels, and performance metrics.
  • Prepare and share status reports related to production schedules and commitments.
  • Monitor work processes to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to specifications.
  • Report on assigned KPIs and participate in company improvement initiatives and projects.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation related to production sequences, transportation, personnel schedules, and purchase or maintenance orders.
  • Follow all quality system procedures and maintain compliance with internal standards.
  • Support and maintain 5S practices within the work environment.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and cross-functional teams to assess progress and identify needed adjustments.
  • Support business units, programs, or jobs by planning production commitments and timelines.
  • Perform additional job-related duties as assigned.

We are seeking a detail-oriented Planner to help ensure our manufacturing operations run smoothly and our customers receive what they need, when they need it. This role connects customer demand, production capacity, and material availability to keep work moving efficiently across the organization. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable working across teams to solve problems and keep budgets on track.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Production Planning and Scheduling

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

WORKING CONDITIONS
Typical working conditions at Kitron are indoors, safe, well lit, temperature controlled, low exposure to noxious fumes or offensive odors, clean and sanitary conditions with average light industrial noise. Production areas have machinery with moving parts. Static dissipative smock, and shoes are required. Offices with locking doors, meeting rooms, and common printing areas are well lit, clean, low noise, and temperature controlled with no exposure to noxious fumes or offensive odors.
