Job summary

Kitron Technologies in Windber, PA, is expanding its electronics manufacturing team. We are seeking a detail-oriented individual to read work instructions, gather materials, and operate pick-and-place equipment in a high-precision environment.

Responsibilities include setting up paste machines, loading feeders, ensuring product quality, keeping records, and following 5S procedures. Requires a high school diploma, ability to work independently, and IPC-610-001 certification soon.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Willing to work second shift (2:00PM - 12:00AM).
  • Skilled with Windows PC & Software.
  • Able to obtain IPC-610-001 Certification.

  • Read and comprehend work instructions and follow established procedures.
  • Collect all material and equipment needed to begin the process.
  • Label feeders to be loaded onto pick and place.
  • Load pick and place feeders following established procedures.
  • Set up and operate MPM paste machines.
  • Set up and operate pick and place machines.
  • Check output to ensure the highest quality.
  • Keep records of production quantities and time.
  • Notify the supervisor immediately of any defects, equipment malfunctions or other issues.
  • Complete assigned jobs per established budget.
  • Follows 5S procedures.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS/ KSA
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Ability to work independently
  • Willing to work second shift (2:00PM - 12:00AM)
  • Skilled with Windows PC & Software
  • Able to obtain IPC-610-001 Certification
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 2 years’ experience in related industry or occupation
  • Previous experience in Electronics Manufacturing
  • Knowledge of SMT terminology and component types, Quality or SMT background
  • Knowledge of ESD
  • Excel & Word basics
  • Ability to recognize and categorize defect types
  • Ability to comprehend documentation such as customer drawings, bill of materials, datasheets, etc.
WORKING CONDITIONS

Typical working conditions at Kitron are indoors, safe, well lit, temperature controlled, low exposure to noxious fumes or offensive odors, clean and sanitary conditions with average light industrial noise. Production areas have machinery with moving parts. Static dissipative smock, and shoes are required. Offices with locking doors, meeting rooms, and common printing areas are well lit, clean, low noise, and temperature controlled with no exposure to noxious fumes or offensive odors.
