Job summary

Kitron is seeking a dedicated facilities/janitorial associate for our U.S. facility in Windber, PA. The role involves cleaning, maintenance, and helping keep a safe and organized workplace on a second shift (Mon-Fri, 3:30 PM–11:30 PM). Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities include facility cleaning, safety compliance, and assisting with event setup, with opportunities to learn and grow within a global EMS company. Benefits include PTO, insurance, and 401(k) options.

  • Ability to identify when something is wrong or could become problematic
  • Ability to use cleaning tools and chemicals safely and effectively

Responsibilities

  • Clean floors, furniture, and fixtures using appropriate cleaning tools and supplies.
  • Monitor building security and safety, reporting hazards as needed.
  • Notify management of major repairs or facility needs.
  • Follow safety procedures for handling chemicals and equipment.
  • Set up and arrange spaces for events and meetings.
  • Follow 5S procedures to maintain organized work areas.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

  • Clean building floors by sweeping mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/ KSA
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Skilled at giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
  • Skilled at effectively communicating verbally and in writing in English
  • Knowledge of safety regulations
  • Ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong.
  • Ability to use various cleaning tools and chemicals in which to accomplish tasks
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience using Microsoft Office software.
  • Basic maintenance skills
WORKING CONDITIONS

Typical working conditions at Kitron are indoors, safe, well lit, temperature controlled, low exposure to noxious fumes or offensive odors, clean and sanitary conditions with average light industrial noise. Production areas have machinery with moving parts. Static dissipative smock, and shoes are required. Offices with locking doors, meeting rooms, and common printing areas are well lit, clean, low noise, and temperature controlled with no exposure to noxious fumes or offensive odors.
