Job summary

Kitron’s Windber, PA facility is seeking a Quality Inspector (Receiving) on the second shift to inspect incoming parts and record quality data. The role requires attention to detail, the ability to work on-site in Windber, and adherence to ISO/IPC standards. Pre-employment screens apply.

Qualifications

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Record product information into ERP and other applications.
  • Use magnifiers and visual aids to inspect.
  • Record asset numbers, date, pass/fail, and inspector stamp on paperwork.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO and IPC inspection standards.
  • Assist others with quality inspection needs.
  • Follow 5S procedures.
  • Notify supervisor if issues arise.
  • Perform other quality-related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/ KSA
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience with AS9100/ISO 9001, IPC 600, IPC 610, and J-STD preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand assembly/part drawings.
  • Familiar with company and industry quality standards and processes.
  • Familiar with calibration and EDS standards
  • Ability to read and understand customer purchase orders
WORKING CONDITIONS


Typical working conditions at Kitron are indoors, safe, well lit, temperature controlled, low exposure to noxious fumes or offensive odors, clean and sanitary conditions with average light industrial noise. Production areas have machinery with moving parts. Static dissipative smock, and shoes are required. Offices with locking doors, meeting rooms, and common printing areas are well lit, clean, low noise, and temperature controlled with no exposure to noxious fumes or offensive odors.
