Job summary

Kitron Technologies in Windber, PA is seeking a Production Supervisor for the second shift to lead a manufacturing team in achieving production goals. You will plan schedules, assign tasks, and monitor production lines, ensuring safety and quality standards.

The role requires at least 3 years of supervision in manufacturing, strong communication, and the ability to motivate staff. A 2nd shift schedule and competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or equivalent required or with experience in manufacturing supervision.
  • 3 years’ experience supervising in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills; able to motivate staff and enforce safety rules.
  • Proficient with MS Office and basic data analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet goals.
  • Direct and coordinate activities of production staff including inspectors and machine operators.
  • Enforce safety and sanitation regulations across the shift.
  • Provide feedback to improve performance, quality, and efficiency.
  • Coordinate cross-training and work with other supervisors to align operations.
  • Train staff on equipment operations and safety procedures.

  • Observe work and monitor gauges, dials, and other indicators to ensure that operators conform to production or processing standards
  • Monitor standards, budgets, production goals, and rates, based on company policies, equipment and labor availability, and workloads
  • Calculate labor and equipment requirements and production specifications, using standard formulas
  • Maintain operations data, such as time, production, and cost records, and prepare management reports of production results
  • Follows 5S procedures.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Typical working conditions at Kitron are indoors, safe, well lit, temperature controlled, low exposure to noxious fumes or offensive odors, clean and sanitary conditions with average light industrial noise. Production areas have machinery with moving parts. Static dissipative smock, and shoes are required. Offices with locking doors, meeting rooms, and common printing areas are well lit, clean, low noise, and temperature controlled with no exposure to noxious fumes or offensive odors.
