Pietro's is seeking an experienced Line Cook to join our kitchen team in California. You will prepare and cook a variety of dishes, maintain quality, and support a fast-paced service. You thrive in a team environment and take pride in consistent, fresh food.

Qualifications

• Be 18 years of age.
• Previous experience as a line cook preferred.
• Ability to lift 30+ lbs.
• Ability to stand for 8+ hours.

Responsibilities

• Ensure freshness of ingredients by checking quality and rotating stock.
• Regulate oven and grill temperatures to keep food safe.
• Season and cook food according to recipes.
• Portion foods per standard sizes and recipes.
• Keep a clean and sanitary workstation.
• Follow plate presentation and garnish setup for all dishes.
• Assist in food prep during off-peak periods.
• Close the kitchen properly and follow closing checklists.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Kitchen Manager.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Line Cook to join our team! You will be preparing and cooking a variety of dishes for restaurant guests to enjoy. You are passionate about creating exceptional dining experiences through good, quality food. With previous experience as a line cook, you can manage multiple priorities and contribute to a friendly and productive team atmosphere.

Responsiblities

• Ensure freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality, keeping track of old and new items, and rotating stock


• Ensure food is stored and cooked at the correct temperature by regulating the temperature of ovens, grills, etc


• Season and cook food according to recipes


• Portions food products prior to cooking according to standard portion sizes and recipe specifications


• Maintains a clean and sanitary work station area


• Follows proper plate presentation and garnish set up for all dishes


• Assists in food prep assignments during off-peak periods as needed


• Closes the kitchen properly and follows the closing checklist for kitchen stations


• Performs other related duties as assigned by the Kitchen Manager or manager-on-duty
