Job summary

Carmelo's in Linthicum Heights, MD is seeking a passionate Pizza Cook to join our kitchen team. You will craft made-from-scratch pizzas in a fast-paced environment, following established recipes and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a pizza cook, line cook, or in a similar kitchen role preferred.
• Familiarity with pizza dough handling, stretching, and oven operation.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-heat kitchen environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality and consistency.
• Reliable, punctual, and a team-oriented attitude.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards (ServSafe certification a plus).

• Prepare and cook pizzas and related menu items to order, following established recipes and quality standards
• Stretch, top, and bake pizzas using proper techniques to ensure consistent results
• Manage pizza oven temperatures and cooking times for optimal product quality
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation throughout each shift
• Monitor ingredient levels and communicate supply needs to kitchen management
• Work efficiently during high-volume rushes to meet ticket times and customer expectations
• Assist with food prep, portioning, and stocking as needed
• Occasionally work the cash register
