Job summary

Butcher n' Barbeque (BnB) in Tampa is seeking a Pit Master who takes pride in fire, smoke, and meat. We hand-cut our own meats and smoke Florida-bred beef for house-made sandwiches and sauces at Armature Works. Flexible mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays are required; compensation is $20/hour plus tips.

Ideal candidates have line cook/kitchen experience, strong knife skills, and teamwork. Florida Food Handler Certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience with smoking and preparing meats, maintaining proper temperatures, food quality, prep, and food safety standards.
• Reliable, works well in a fast-paced environment and is a strong team player.
• Flexible availability including mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Measure and assemble ingredients for menu items.
• Collaborate with the Executive Chef and Cooks to prepare meals during dining hours.
• Maintain accurate food inventories.
• Properly store food items at appropriate temperatures.
• Rotate stock items as per established procedures.
• Restock kitchen for subsequent shifts.
• Ensure that the food prep area and kitchen are cleaned and sanitized throughout and at the end of your shift.
• Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies.
• Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
