Job summary

BNB in Tampa, FL is seeking an experienced Pit Master to join our kitchen team. You will smoke and prepare meats, monitor temperatures, ensure food quality, and maintain safety standards in a fast-paced environment.

This role requires reliability, teamwork, and flexible availability including mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays. Compensation is $20/hour plus tips, with opportunities to grow as part of a close-knit, high-energy dining team.

Qualifications

• Experience as pit master or line cook in a busy kitchen.
• Knowledge of meat smoking and safe handling.
• Ability to work under pressure with attention to detail.
• Florida Food Handler Certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Measure and assemble ingredients for menu items.
• Collaborate with the Executive Chef and Cooks to prepare meals during dining hours.
• Maintain accurate food inventories.
• Properly store food items at appropriate temperatures.
• Rotate stock items as per established procedures.
• Restock kitchen for subsequent shifts.
• Ensure that the food prep area and kitchen are cleaned and sanitized throughout and at the end of your shift.
• Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies.
• Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
