Job summary

Energy Transfer is seeking a corrosion technician to apply corrosion knowledge for repair, installation, troubleshooting, and predictive maintenance on gas and liquid facilities and pipelines. You will participate in cathodic protection design, perform surveys, and ensure compliance with SOPs and regulatory requirements.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, MS Office proficiency, and the ability to train others.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite products is required.
• Ability to train other technicians and/or sign off on qualifications is essential.

Responsibilities

• Design, install, inspect and maintain cathodic protection systems within pipeline segments, compressor stations or plant facilities.
• Perform required regulatory documentation (OSHA, DOT, EPA) and maintain corrosion data records.
• Conduct pipe-to-soil potential surveys and readings for corrosion control programs.
• Evaluate coating conditions and pipe anomalies; perform strength calculations as per procedures.
• Read and interpret pipeline maps, as-builts and PLDs; ensure safety procedures and PPE are used.
