Job summary

The Systems Group in Sinton, Texas, is seeking an energetic Pipefitter. The candidate will read blueprints, lay out pipe, and fit tees, 90s, 45s, and offsets to print while calculating takeouts.

Responsibilities include assembling and installing various pipes, securing with brackets, and following safety rules. Per diem and competitive pay are offered for this 5-day, 4/12 shift along with benefits and opportunities for education.

Qualifications

• Read blueprints and lay out pipe per print.
• Ability to calculate take-outs.
• Knowledge of assembling various pipe fittings.

Responsibilities

• Selects type and size of pipe and related materials and equipment per specifications.
• Inspects worksite for obstructions.
• Plans installation sequence to avoid obstructions and conflicts.
• Cuts pipe with saw, cutter, torch, or pipe-cutting machine.
• Thread pipes using threading machine.
• Bends pipe by hand or with bending tools.
• Mounts pipe hangers and brackets to hold pipe.
• Assembles and installs pipes and fittings.
• Secures pipes to structures with brackets and clamps.
• Performs basic maintenance of tools and equipment.
• Complies with safety and project rules.
