Job summary

TIC - The Industrial Company in the United States is seeking a skilled pipefitter to read isometric drawings, measure, fabricate and install piping systems in accordance with plans and standards.

The role requires physical work, ability to work outdoors in all weather, and willingness to climb, bend, and operate various tools to hydro test systems. Overtime and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with experience in the field or related area.
• Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with management/supervision.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools and layout tools safely and efficiently.
• Must be able to meet all physical requirements and work overtime, nights and weekends as required.

Responsibilities

• Read isometric drawings, take measurements, fabricate and install piping efficiently.
• Align, bolt, and clamp components for welding.
• Assemble and secure pipes, tubes, fittings, and related equipment by welding and threading joints.
• Position and secure materials during installation per plans and specs.
• Distinguish varying thickness and types of metal materials.
• Manually handle and securely apply rigging equipment.
• Operate tools: beveling machines, grinders, hammers, torches, magnetic drills, Saw-Zall.
• Layout and install equipment, vessels, skids, pumps, pipe, and supports.
• Hydro test piping systems.
