Job summary

Optimized Process Designs (OPD) seeks a Pipefitter for field work at projects in TX. The role involves reading drawings, fabricating and installing piping systems, welding, and adhering to stringent safety practices.

You will operate a variety of construction tools and equipment and work up to 12-hour shifts with travel to remote sites. Ideal candidates have 1.5+ years in pipefitting, the ability to read blueprints, and a proven safety track record.

Qualifications

• 1.5+ years of pipefitting experience is required.
• Willingness to travel and stay away from home.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts and weekends as needed.
• Must meet physical demands of the job.
• Must attend mandatory safety meetings and be a safety role model.

Responsibilities

• Read drawings and take measurements to install piping.
• Bolt, clamp, and tack-weld parts to secure positions.
• Assemble pipes, fittings and related equipment per specs by welding and threading.
• Handle rigging equipment safely and accurately.
• Operate beveling machines, grinders, torches, and drills as required.
• Weld small areas per client requirements.
