Job summary

The Systems Group in Sinton, Texas is hiring a Pipefitter to read blueprints, lay out pipe sizes, and fit Tees, 90s, 45s, and offsets to print. You will interpret job specs, plan sequence to avoid obstructions, and ensure safety and quality in assembly of piping systems.

Qualifications

• Must-pass pre-employment drug screen.
• Experience reading blueprints and calculating take-outs is required.
• OSHA Approved Met-Guard boots (annual company allowance) provided.

Responsibilities

• Selects type and size of pipe and related materials per job specifications.
• Inspects worksite to determine obstructions and plan installation sequence.
• Cuts and threads pipe using saws, cutters, torches, and machines.
• Mounts pipe hangers and brackets to walls/ceilings to support pipe.
• Assembles and installs metal or nonmetal piping and fittings.
• Secures pipes to structures with brackets and hangers using hand/power tools.
• Performs general maintenance/cleaning of tools and equipment.
• Observes safety rules and company policies.
