Job summary

Thompson Construction Group is seeking a skilled Pipe Fitter to lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems for industrial production facilities. You will follow blueprints, ensure safety, and work with a range of hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.

The role requires physical stamina, adherence to safety, and the ability to read plans, use math for geometry, and operate manual and power tools. On-site work may involve outdoor conditions and customer sites; related benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older and able to work on-site.
• Must pass pipe fitter written test and be able to read/understand directions clearly.
• Basic math skills and calculator use to solve geometric problems.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in varied environments.
• Willingness to work outside of craft and pass background checks as required.

Responsibilities

• Layout, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems per blueprints.
• Plan installations to avoid obstructions and minimize disruption to others.
• Cut, thread, and bend pipe using appropriate tools and machines.
• Secure pipes with brackets, clamps, and hangers.
• Install and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic components and controls.
• Test systems by increasing pressure and observing gauges.
• Install supports to structural members as needed.
