Job summary

The Systems Group in Sinton, Texas is hiring a Pipefitter to read blueprints, lay out pipe sizes, and fit Tees, 90s, 45s, and offsets to print. You will interpret job specs, plan sequence to avoid obstructions, and ensure safety and quality in assembly of piping systems.

The role pays $32 per hour, with 50 hours per week. Benefits include health insurance, retirement, paid time off, holidays, and continuing education opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must-pass pre-employment drug screen.
• Experience reading blueprints and calculating take-outs is required.
• OSHA Approved Met-Guard boots (annual company allowance) provided.

Responsibilities

• Selects type and size of pipe and related materials per job specifications.
• Inspects worksite to determine obstructions and plan installation sequence.
• Cuts and threads pipe using saws, cutters, torches, and machines.
• Mounts pipe hangers and brackets to walls/ceilings to support pipe.
• Assembles and installs metal or nonmetal piping and fittings.
• Secures pipes to structures with brackets and hangers using hand/power tools.
• Performs general maintenance/cleaning of tools and equipment.
• Observes safety rules and company policies.

The Systems Group is looking for an energetic individual to be our next Pipefitting teammate. We are looking for someone who can read blueprints, lay out various sizes for pipe, fit Tees, 90s, 45s, and offsets to print while figuring out proper takeouts. We are also looking for someone who wants to be part of the big picture and contribute to the long-term strategy of our operations across the country. Pipefitter Job Responsibilities:

• Selects the type and size of pipe and related materials and equipment, such as supports, hangers, and hydraulic cylinders, according to job specifications.
• Inspects the worksite to determine the presence of obstructions.
• Plans sequence on installation to avoid obstructions and activities of other workers.
• Cuts pipe using a reciprocating saw, pipe cutter, cutting torch and pipe cutting machine, and/or other small hand tools.
• Thread pipe using a threading machine.
• Bends pipe by hand or with pipe-bending tools and machines.
• Mounts pipe hangers and brackets on walls and ceiling to hold the pipe.
• Assembles and installs a variety of metal or nonmetal pipes and pipe fittings.
• Secures pipes to structure with brackets, clamps, and hangers, using hand and power tools.
• Performs minor maintenance of cleaning activities of tools and equipment.
• Observe and comply with all safety and project rules and all company policies and procedures
• Performs other duties as required.
