Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services in Wisconsin is seeking a Journeyman pipefitter with documented field experience to lay out, fabricate, assemble and install piping systems for heating, cooling and process equipment. You will read instructions, plan work, and perform installations independently while adhering to safety and quality standards.

The role covers pipe threading, cutting, welding and securing supports, plus testing systems for leaks and ensuring proper operation of refrigeration, HVAC

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with field experience.
• Knowledge of piping concepts, materials and installation procedures.
• Ability to read plans and instructions with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to follow safety rules and quality standards.
• Works under supervision while demonstrating accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Selects pipe type and size per job specs.
• Inspects worksite for obstructions.
• Plans installation sequence to avoid conflicts.
• Cuts and threads pipe using appropriate tools.
• Assembles and installs piping and fittings with various joints.
• Mounts supports and brackets and secures piping.
• Tests piping systems for leaks and integrity.
• Welds pipe supports to structural members.
• Loads and transports materials and tools.
• Maintains tools and equipment; observes safety rules.
