Job Title: Pipefitter
Job Description

This role involves reading and interpreting blueprints and isometric drawings, laying out piping systems, and cutting, fabricating, and assembling pipes to precise specifications. You will perform pressure testing and ensure all installed piping meets quality and safety standards while working collaboratively with a field team on an industrial project.

Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret blueprints and isometric (ISO) drawings to plan and lay out piping systems accurately.
  • Perform pipe layout work, including marking, aligning, and positioning pipes according to specifications.
  • Measure, cut, and fabricate pipes using saws, torches, and other appropriate tools and equipment.
  • Thread, bend, and join pipes to create complete piping systems in accordance with project requirements.
  • Assist with or perform pipe welding activities as needed to complete installations.
  • Install and secure pipes, fittings, and related components to ensure safe and stable systems.
  • Conduct pressure testing on piping systems to verify integrity and identify any leaks or defects.
  • Use and maintain personal tools and equipment in a safe and effective manner.
  • Collaborate with team members on site to coordinate tasks and complete work efficiently.
  • Follow all site safety procedures and quality standards while working on the project.
Essential Skills
  • At least 1.5 years of experience in pipefitting.
  • Ability to read and interpret isometric (ISO) drawings and blueprints.
  • Proficiency in pipe fitting, including cutting, threading, bending, and joining pipes.
  • Experience with pipe welding in an industrial or construction environment.
  • Skill in measuring and cutting pipes accurately using saws, torches, and related tools.
  • Ability to perform pressure testing on piping systems.
  • Capability to use and maintain basic pipefitting tools.
  • Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work effectively with others on site.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience working on industrial or large construction projects.
  • Familiarity with isometric drawings and layout techniques.
  • Comfort working with a variety of hand and power tools related to pipefitting.
  • Demonstrated reliability and commitment to completing project assignments.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $38.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
