What We’re Looking For: To excel in this position, you should bring:
- 5 years’ experience in civil construction and underground utility as a Foreman.
- Ability to install water, pressure pipe, and storm systems
- Ability to understand drawings and blueprints
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to perform and delegate work
- Experience operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining heavy construction equipment
- Responsibility for equipment and materials on site
- Monitor and ensure on-site safety compliance, cleanliness, and orderliness
- Knowledge of safety and OSHA regulations
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
About the Role: Are you ready to change the game and join an incredible team?
As a Pipe Foreman, you will:
- Supervise and coordinate pipe crew activities including fitting pipe, installing sanitary or storm water sewer structures or pipe systems, grading, and backfilling trench bases.
- Train crew on equipment used on site and ensure safe operation and shutdown procedures.
- Inspect the site to determine sequencing and methods of pipe installation and survey for hazards and safety concerns.
- Plan drainpipe installation to minimize interference with other project activities.
- Organize and plan work with the Superintendent to determine pipe routes, follow blueprints, and install sequences.
- Monitor and maintain crew productivity, equipment, and materials to meet deadlines.
- Maintain company vehicles and equipment according to standards.
- Maintain daily reports, including construction logs and progress photos.
- Act as liaison between HR and crew members in case of work-related injuries, completing necessary reports and investigations.
- Lead weekly safety meetings, toolbox talks, and safety training sessions.
- Stay updated on safety procedures, equipment operation, employee policies, DOT standards, MOT plans, and operate according to regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Superintendent or Project Manager.
