Job description

Job Title: Pipe Foreman

A Southland Holdings company is currently accepting resumes for an experienced Pipe Foreman for our large heavy civil project located in Tampa, FL.

Responsibilities:

1. Operate main line machine for pipe installation.
2. Provide leadership and direct activities of field crew employees, working to increase productivity.
3. Oversee, instruct, and participate in the installation and repair of water mains, fire hydrants, sanitary sewer lines, etc.
4. Perform required testing for installed systems.
5. Ensure crew performance meets quality and safety standards.
6. Complete daily reports with crew hours, equipment hours, cost codes, and production quantities.
7. Communicate effectively with Project Superintendent and Project Managers.
8. Participate in safety training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
9. Conduct jobsite quality control checks.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum 5 years of Water & Sewer Utility experience.
2. At least 2 years of Utility Foreman experience.
3. Experience with large diameter storm drains, water mains, dewatering, well point systems.
4. FDOT experience preferred but not required.
5. Valid Driver’s License.
6. Extensive knowledge of utility tools and equipment such as excavators, trench boxes, pumps, backhoes, bobcats, loaders, etc.
7. Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.
8. Ability to plan, organize, direct, and evaluate crew work.

Certifications:

1. OSHA 30-hour Safety Course Certification.
2. CPR Certification.
