Job summary

MillerWorks in Tallahassee, FL is seeking a Pipe Fitter – Mechanical for field and shop installations. You will assist with piping systems, measure, cut, solder, braze, thread, and test to ensure safe operation.

Strong teamwork, safety adherence and clear communication with supervisors and customers are essential. The role requires 2+ years in mechanical/HVAC/plumbing, plus capability to read drawings and interpret codes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum two years in mechanical, HVAC, plumbing or related construction.
• Strong knowledge of plumbing and mechanical systems and installation methods.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specs and codes.

Responsibilities

• Assist with HVAC/Mechanical/Industrial projects.
• Measure and cut pipe per requirements.
• Solder, braze, thread, grooving pipe; install hangers for carbon steel up to 24”.
• Repair malfunctions, leaks, and test pipe systems.
• Communicate professionally with management, superintendent, and customers.
• Follow safety policies and report hazards.
• Work across field and prefabrication shop environments.
